How much weight should I gain in pregnancy?

The weight you should aim to gain depends on what your weight was before you became pregnant. Body Mass Index (BMI) is the number used to calculate your recommended weight gain.

  2. My height in metres, e.g. 165cm = 1.65m
  3. BMI = weight/(height x height), i.e. kg/m2
